At David’s Catfish, we know what people like and we know how to make homestyle food. That’s why, for almost 40 years, our food has been flying out of the kitchen. We started as a mom-and-pop startup in Waynesboro, Mississippi; we are now proud to have restaurants in almost a dozen locations. David’s Famous Catfish – It’s famous for a reason! Our catfish dinner has everything you need, including coleslaw and hush puppies. Choose from different portion sizes and a side of french fries, cheese grits or turnips. We suggest the cheese grits, because both our catfish and our cheese grits have been named among the Top 100 Dishes to Eat in Alabama Before You Die by the Alabama Bureau of Tourism and Travel twice!
Coleslaw – If there’s anything we do as good as catfish, it’s coleslaw. We’ve been told it’s the best coleslaw in the world and we aren’t one to argue with a glowing review. Our fan-favorite coleslaw is made from the freshest ingredients possible; it also comes as a side with many of our dishes, or you can get it by itself to enjoy.
Fried Dill Pickles – There’s nothing quite like the crunch and flavor of a deep-fried pickle. If you’ve never had one, be sure to get an order next time you’re at David’s Catfish. We know you won’t be disappointed.
Popcorn Shrimp – It’s crispy, it’s crunchy and, boy, is it flavorful. Customers love our popcorn shrimp, and we know you will too. We proudly serve shrimp and other seafood from Alabama’s seafood capital, Bayou La Batre, which means only the finest ingredients are used.
David’s Lunch Combo – Our lunch combo is the perfect way to try all our house favorites on one plate. First, choose from a shrimp basket, fried catfish basket, chicken basket, shrimp salad, chicken salad, hamburger, cheeseburger, patty melt, firecracker shrimp sandwich, catfish sandwich or shrimp sandwich. Then, choose your side of french fries, cheese grits or turnips and enjoy that alongside your coleslaw and hushpuppies.
Seafood Plate – For the seafood lover, we’ve got the ultimate seafood plate, so you can try it all. Complete with fillet catfish, stuffed crab, shrimp, oysters, boiled shrimp and a healthy serving of onion rings. And we aren’t done yet, because all dinners are served with coleslaw and hushpuppies, as well as your choice of french fries, cheese grits or turnips.
Ribeye Steak Dinner – Delicious seafood isn’t all we have to offer. Our USDA choice Angus beef ribeye is juicy and tender. Served with french fries, green salad or coleslaw and french bread, our ribeye dinner is perfect for when you want a little break from seafood.
Fish Fillet Po’Boy – All of our batters, breading and mixes are made from scratch daily using only the finest, freshest ingredients. That’s why our Fish Fillet Po’Boy is one of our must-try items. Po’Boys are a staple of the south and our menu wouldn’t be complete without one.
